Friars Glen Country House
Friars Glen Country House will remain closed for 2024 as we are taking a break from Bed and Breakfast for a year.
Thank you for considering Friars Glen Country House and we hope you enjoy your trip to Killarney.
This family run country house is located in the heart of Killarney National Park and only 4km from the vibrant town of Killarney.
Friars Glen offers bed and breakfast to the highest standard. The ten spacious ensuite bedrooms offer all the facilities you would expect of a modern hotel room and we serve memorable breakfasts in a unique setting.
We are ideally situated to explore Killarney National Park, Muckross House and Gardens, Torc Waterfall, Muckross Abbey, Ross Castle and Inisfallen Island. We also provide the perfect base from which to experience the Wild Atlantic Way and South West Ireland. Travel around the Ring of Kerry and to the breathtaking vistas on the Dingle and Beara Peninsulas.
Ireland’s South West offers some of the best activities in the country, e.g. golfing, walking, biking, angling, fishing, horseriding, kayaking and all watersports. We will happily help you make the most of your time at Friars Glen. We can advise on tours and activities and make the arrangements.
Buail isteach! Welcome!
“Just back from a fantastic stay with John and Mary. They could not have made our stay more pleasant – lovely rooms, outstanding breakfast and they went way out of their way to accommodate anything we needed. What sets this guest house apart is it’s beautiful location in the park and it’s lovely breakfasts but without a doubt above all else John and Mary. I am not someone who places particular emphasis on this when booking a trip but John and Mary have changed that for me – they made my stay in Killarney. They take service oriented to a whole new level and try to genuinely do all they possibly can to ensure a great break away. It is challenging this year for small businesses but Mary and John have all necessary measures in place and the place is spotlessly clean. Highly recommend to foreign visitors – and particularly for those staycationing this year!”
